Lumped Element and Helical Resonator Filters

MM Microwave Lumped element filters have a wide range of characteristics which can be configured to cover most applications at low frequencies. Bandpass, bandstop, lowpass and shaping filters are housed in standard aluminium containers giving a range of inexpensive, lightweight and very versatile units. Lumped element filters are constructed by using the highest quality components, air or low dialectric formered inductive coils with chip or ceramic capacitors, soldered to an rf quality substrate which in turn is bonded into an aluminium housing. Fine tuning is achieved using a combination of trimming capacitors and matching networks etched on the substrate. Using the many combinations available with lumped element filters a range of both contiguous and non-contiguous diplexers and multiplexers are also available. Helical resonators are used for small, lightweight bandpass filters. Aluminium housings with adjustable coupling slots in combination with standard resonators of varying diameter and length offer maximum flexibility. Tuning is by adjustable mechanical cores which may be left fixed or tunable.
